TDVFD 52nd Annual Installation Banquet

 

            On Saturday, November 15, 2003, the Tenth District Volunteer Fire Department held it’s 52nd Annual Installation of Officers and Awards Banquet.  The ceremony was held at the station.  The following officers were sworn to office for the 2003-2004 fiscal year:

        Assistant Chief (EMS):            Angie Abell

Also, numerous awards were given out for Top 10 in fire responses, EMS responses, and drill attendance.  Appreciation awards were given out for members who served on various committees and tackled special projects throughout the year. 

 

 

 

The EMS Provider of the year was given to two individuals this year.  They were James “Doc” Goss Sr. and James “Jimmy” Goss Jr.  A special thanks to both of them for all the time and effort they have put forth to the EMS division for this past year, and their continued support and dedication.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The “Lorimer Beans Scott Memorial Award” which is given to the Firefighter of the Year was given to Tom “Yogi” Yowell for his endless hard work and countless endeavors for the year.  

 

 

The dinner ceremony was followed by entertainment from Certified DJ’s, where a majority of the members had a blast after the dinner.  A special thanks goes out to the Potomac Heights Volunteer Fire Department and the Charles County Volunteer Rescue Squad for providing our fire and EMS coverage, respectively.
