Yesterday, a few members went out to flow-test and maintain one of our dry-hydrant sites. Our first due response area doesn’t have a single pressurized fire hydrant. These dry hydrants have been installed on private property to ensure we have adequate water supply throughout our area. Our maintenance includes flushing, flow-testing, painting, and landscaping around the sites. We thank the land-owners for their continued support. This particular hydrant is adjacent to Stinnett’s Gravel Pit. If you have a static water source on your property and would like to consider having a dry hydrant installed, let us know.
