This year, Madison Klinger completed the first half of the High School Cadet Program. She completed training as an Emergency Medical Responder, Firefighter 1, and Hazardous Materials. She also dedicated time during the evening hours for 8 months to complete the National Registry Emergency Medical Technician program.

The high school cadet program has been operating for over 25 years. It is an outstanding vocational education program that provides both college credits and certifications to prepare students for employment upon graduation. Numerous graduates of the program over the years have achieved full-time employment with career fire departments within a very short timeframe of graduating high school.
