Yesterday, units were alerted for a house fire on Dominion Place in Welcome. Truck 1 arrived first and reported a two-story single family home fully involved in fire. Engine 8-3, Tanker 8, and Chief 8-A all arrived shortly after. Crews advanced multiple hand lines and portable master streams for the operation. A tanker shuttle was utilized with the fill site located at a drafting hydrant about 2.5 miles away. Crews were able to sustain a fire-flow of 600 gallons per minute for the duration of the incident. The structure was total loss. The last unit cleared the scene approximately 6 hours after arrival.
